Vildagliptin is an inhibitor class of drug having a chemical formula of C17H25N3O2 and a molecular weight of 303.4 gram per mol. It is also known as an anti-hyperglycemic agent which helps in treatment of type second diabetes. This medication prevents the inactivation of peptide hormone such as gastric inhibitory poly-peptide to put an end to the release of glucagon release. Vildagliptin is the highly absorbed form of oral medication and can be taken with plain water. It is highly effective in lowering and maintaining the blood sugar level by increasing the amount of insulin in the body. It may show some mild side effects if it is not consumed as per the doctor's directed method and dosage.
