About Azithromycin

Azithromycin is an antibiotic medicine which is used for the treatment of bacterial diseases. Its main action is to retard the multiplication and growth of the bacterias. It helps to treat various infections like strep throat, pneumonia, traveler's diarrhea, ear infections and certain intestinal infections. It is highly reactive and fast in action which enhances the effectiveness of this drug. Azithromycin can also be used to cure number of sexually transmitted infections like chlamydia and gonorrhea infections. It is advised to take this medication only according to the doctor's prescribed method and dosage. It may lead to side effects such as upset stomach, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, or abdominal pain.
